Grades: 6–8 | Position: Full-Time


Position Overview
The Middle School STEM/Robotics Teacher engages students in hands-on, project-based learning focused on engineering,  robotics, coding, and problem-solving. The teacher fosters curiosity, creativity, and collaboration while helping students build foundational STEM skills.


Responsibilities

  • Teach middle school STEM and robotics courses
  • Design and implement hands-on engineering and robotics projects
  • Introduce coding, mechanical design, and basic computer science concepts
  • Guide students through the engineering design process
  • Manage STEM lab equipment and materials
  • Support or coach robotics clubs or teams (such as FIRST Robotics or VEX Robotics)
  • Assess student learning through projects and performance-based tasks
  • Collaborate with faculty and communicate with families

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field
  • Experience working with middle school students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for hands-on, innovative learning

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with robotics platforms such as VEX Robotics or LEGO Education
  • Coaching robotics teams or STEM clubs
